Coupling between the two numerical methods is achieved by a Fourier decomposition (amplitude Pk and phase delay k) of the time-resolved excitation forces F(t) acting on the rotating bladed disk.
Amplitudes Pk and phase delay k are obtained from the Fourier decomposition of the nonuniform pressure P.
This is achieved by employing an ordinary Fourier decomposition.
Figure 8.20 gives the Fourier decomposition of the pressure fluctuations on the rotor blades in the form of amplitude-frequency spectra.
